Most people learn leadership in a classroom. Tom learned it underwater. He did not study technology and operations from the outside looking in. He built his career inside some of the most demanding environments on earth, a nuclear submarine and one of the largest financial institutions in the world,  where failure was not an option and results were the only currency that mattered. When he decided to bring that standard to KPI Hire Group, it was not a career change. It was a calling.


  • 15 years in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, where the margin for error is zero and trust is earned through consistent execution under pressure.
  • Served as Lead Electronics Technician on a nuclear submarine, Quality Assurance Supervisor overseeing 500 plus critical procedures across six departments, and Helpdesk Supervisor managing support for 350 plus users across 12 buildings.
  • Cut helpdesk response times in half through systems he built himself.
  • Named Sailor of the Year at the U.S. Navy Deep Submergence Unit in San Diego in 1993. Not for being the loudest. For being the most reliable.
  • Spent 12 years at Wells Fargo, earning six promotions over nine years, finishing as Senior Technology Operations Manager and Vice President.
  • Led technology operations across six global centers with teams of up to 132 people.
  • Shipped over 200,000 PC devices annually and oversaw monthly operating budgets between $6 million and $11 million.
  • Reduced expenses by 30 percent over 36 months and brought asset discrepancies from 17,000 down to zero.
  • Through a pandemic, a merger, and multiple hardware overhauls, his teams delivered on time and under budget without missing a window.
